How to Glow from within… (or just look like you do)

I don’t think I know anyone who doesn’t want to glow, but to glow is especially difficult in these harsh winter months, which can leave the skin dry, dull and lifeless. But luckily for us, we now have such a large choice of products to use that can help make us resemble the golden sun (all year round)! If you wanna glow naturally, without any makeup, there are skincare products that do a fantastic job at this.

First of all, ditch the wipes! They don’t properly cleanse your skin so you still have old skin cells and makeup laying there, and these two things do not make you glow at all. If you properly cleanse, you will get rid of dead skin cells and unwanted makeup and have newer skin, which of course is luminous and looks like and feels like baby’s skin.

Although I try to use a nice gentle cleanser as I find some cleansers are too harsh and take the natural oils away from my skin, which does not feel good at all. My holy grail cleanser is Bare Mineral’s Pure Plush cleanser, my best friend also uses this and swears by it and we both have opposite types of skin (oily and dry) so its suitable for everyone! It ticks all the boxes; it leaves your skin squeaky clean but it also contains skin loving ingredients so it doesn’t dry out the skin at all and actually leaves your skin brighter, softer and plump. It will always have a place in my kit and my heart.

Now onto the Ordinary’s Glycolic Toning Solution 7%, this baby will leave you like a light bulb. So what this does is it exfoliates the skin, better than any grainy substance in my opinion, although it’s good to use both. It eats away at dead skin cells so you have newer skin faster, and like I said, newer skin means more luminous skin. I would use this product after I cleanse, by wiping it around my face with a cotton pad and of course avoiding the delicate eye area. It stings a little bit but it’s worth it. It also targets blackheads due to it being an exfoliator. The best thing about this product is the price, its only £6.80! Although because of this, it’s quite often sold out, so I would always keep an eye out for when it’s in stock because it goes like hotcakes.

A serum that is also consistently bringing life to my skin is Bare Mineral’s Skinlongevity serum, I would pat this (which is better than rubbing) onto my skin after toning/exfoliating. This gem targets everything, from smoothness to hydration, and of course, luminosity! And just look at that beautiful packaging…

I also find that Miaflora Argan Oil adds luminosity to my skin, I mix this with my moisturiser and it goes on like a dream.

Now onto getting a faux glow! Of course, the first product I’m gonna list is a highlighter, and my absolute favourite highlighter too, I was hesitant to buy it due to the price but I am so happy I did, it is absolutely stunning on and worth every penny. It is Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops, in the shade, ‘Moonlight’. It can be used many ways, you can put in on before you apply makeup all over, mix it with your foundation or just to highlight the high points of your face. It really is magical. The next liquid highlighter I am going to try is the Iconic London Drops, I have heard they are also dazzling.

I have many favourite powder highlighters, but I’m gonna choose one that I don’t think gets the attention it deserves. It is Too Faced’s Candelight Glow highlighter, no other highlighter can compare to this, it gives the most beautiful glow, unlike most highlighters it isn’t very sparkly, which is why I love it so much because it looks so distinctive. If this highlighter was a person, it would be a very sophisticated and classy person. This on top of custom enhancer drops is stunning, you can really tell they are not cheap products, which is great because there is nothing worse than spending loads of money on make up for it to look mediocre.

And finally, Bare Mineral’s Original Loose Powder foundation, which goes on like a cream, gives a beautiful luminous and healthy finish to the skin, this can be worn by itself over primer or ontop of any foundation to give more coverage and take the flat look away.

  1. You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I in finding this topic to be really one thing which I think I’d by no means understand. It sort of feels too complex and extremely huge for me. I am taking a look ahead in your next put up, I’ll attempt to get the hold of it!

  2. You actually make it appear so easy together with your presentation but I in finding this topic to be actually something which I believe I might never understand. It kind of feels too complicated and extremely wide for me. I’m taking a look ahead to your subsequent post, I will try to get the dangle of it!
